The Northeast and Midwest regions of the National Organization for the Professional Advancement of Black Chemists and Chemical Engineers (NOBCChE) are pleased to announce our first joint regional meeting, Northeast by Midwest 2017 (NExM2017), to be held at the University of Pittsburgh, Pittsburgh, PA, March 16-18,  2017.  The meeting will run from Thursday evening through midday on Saturday.

Our conference theme is “Unifying, Collaborating, and Building STEM Success”. It is our aim that this meeting reinvigorates and unifies our regional chapters, provides valuable professional development opportunities for participants, exposes participants to exciting scientific research across the broad spectrum chemistry and chemical engineering including education, and creates a space for regional networking and collaboration. All of these objectives are necessary to build STEM success as related to our organizational mission.

This meeting is being hosted by the local Pittsburgh student chapter (from the Northeast region) and the University of Iowa (from the Midwest region) student chapters. Click here to learn more about the conference program.
